There's a discipline and a power that is released through following Jesus.

See, the enemy would have you believe that God only wants to steal, kill, and destroy (sound familiar).

But the reality is that he wants to give life abundantly
If we are not careful, we can miss this. There are a few tricks the enemy uses to create a distraction from following our shepherd.

The first is, question of motive.

This is a bad idea because motives are always based on past information. Which means we are using our past to dictate our future, bad strategy!

Second, we make the assumption that in order to follow someone, it must be because they need something.

Once again, this is based on a limited view of reality.

It goes without saying that the Lord needs nothing from us, but he does delight in doing things with us (that's important).

So, next time you're wondering if you should follow Jesus, know this,

1. He has a flawless record
2. He's already given you everything
3. There's a power that's obtained when you do
